We do not yet have a course for Canada.

Please let us know if you would like to:

    should be included in the course;
  2. work with us to create the course;
  3. teach the course or suggest someone to teach the course; or
  4. be notified when the course is online.

Country Courses

Country courses will initially be a single course per country (or region) covering patent terms, exclusivity and national particulars of those systems. Topics should include supplemental protection certificate and general patent office approaches to antibody and other particular types of patents on biologics.

The Academy will work with anyone wishing to be an instructor for the country course to develop the syllabus and film the course.  The Academy provides guidance on filming or can come to your location to film.  Our course production staff works to prepare the course on our courseware to include graphics, questions etc.

Contact us if you are interested and would like to learn about the arrangements between the Academy and faculty members.

Faculty Control of Courses

The Academy is flexible with faculty arrangements - faculty members may create a course and require that students who want to discuss particular matters enter into an engagement with the faculty member's firm, with that engagement having no connection to the Academy.
Or, faculty members may make themselves available for student questions as long as the discussions are general about the concepts and do not constitute legal advice.

In addition, we work with faculty members to design courses to be self-functioning, with only multiple-choice questions, but also encourage faculty members to include requirements for students to read articles or cases and submit written assignments.

The courses are deliberately created in segments, so that individual segments can be altered, replaced or simply deleted.

The faculty member always has the option to alter or delete the entire course.

Please contact the Academy Provost to discuss.
